Ubiquiti fixes three maximum-severity UniFi flaws

THE BRIEF
Ubiquiti has released fixes for a large group of security weaknesses affecting its UniFi product line, including three vulnerabilities rated 10.0 on the CVSS scale. The maximum-severity issues are tracked as CVE-2026-77537, CVE-2026-77550 and CVE-2026-77554. Ubiquiti’s advisory describes improper access-control conditions that could allow an attacker with the required network position to obtain elevated privileges in affected devices or applications. The wider bulletin lists 22 vulnerabilities, all but one affecting UniFi products, with possible outcomes that include authentication bypass, command execution, denial of service and unauthorized access. The precise exposure depends on the product, version, configuration and whether management interfaces are reachable. Ubiquiti has published patched releases and customers should use the vendor bulletin to match each device or application to the correct update. Neither the bulletin nor the source report says the newly disclosed flaws are being actively exploited. That distinction matters: maximum severity signals potential impact, not proof that every installation is immediately compromised.
WHY IT MATTERS
UniFi equipment is common in homes, small businesses, schools and larger networks, so a management-plane flaw can sit close to trusted internal traffic. The urgent task is accurate inventory and controlled updating, not panic. Administrators should identify affected controllers, gateways, access points and applications, reduce management exposure, apply the specified releases and then confirm that devices actually restarted on the corrected version. Unsupported or forgotten equipment deserves special attention because it can remain exposed after the main fleet is patched.
WHO SHOULD CARE
UniFi owners, managed-service providers, network administrators, schools, small businesses, home-lab users, facilities teams and security teams responsible for wireless, switching, gateway or controller infrastructure. across organizations.
WHAT TO DO NOW
- Check Ubiquiti Bulletin 067 against every deployed UniFi product and version.
- Install the vendor’s fixed releases and verify the running version after restart.
- Restrict management interfaces to trusted networks or VPN access.
- Review logs and administrator accounts for unexpected access without assuming exploitation.
VERIFICATION NOTE
Verified against Ubiquiti Security Advisory Bulletin 067 published on 26 August 2026. The bulletin confirms the listed UniFi vulnerabilities and patched releases; no claim of observed exploitation is made.
